Stacking Garden Sculpture

Clay Play with Cynthia Spencer – Stacks – $150

Contact me to get on list for 2014 workshops.

Learn basic sculpture techniques and make three (3) small ceramic pieces that can be stacked over a pole. Clay, glaze, firing, tools, instruction, snacks, all included.
Day One:  10 am-4 pm, cutting out and putting together the shapes. Monitor drying using the sun. While drying, create “topper” and figure out glaze colors for the next day. Finally, some finish shaping using rasps and ribs.
Day Two: 10 am-12 noon, glazing the three pieces using commercial underglazes
Pick-up of Fired Pieces TBA.
At my studio, 1105 NW 30th Street, Corvallis 97330
$50 deposit to hold your spot, balance due first day of workshop, unless we’ve set up a time payment. Checks may be mailed to above address, or you can pay by credit card via secure PayPal button below.
If you must cancel for any reason, your deposit will be kept for a future class unless there is someone on the waiting list who can replace you. If your spot can be filled and you wish a refund, it will be returned minus $5/service fee. If workshop has to be cancelled due to lack of participants or for any other reason, you’ll receive a full refund. We need SUN for the best results, but we can also still work on things if the weather is wetter.
By signing up for this workshop I accept all risks and hold harmless Cynthia Spencer (and Patrick Hadlock) for spending time in their mid-century home, basement studio, garage, and backyard where there are stairs, uneven ground, sharp tools, heavy things, dog dander and clay dust.

The PayPal button is for your convenience to pay the deposit, but not a requirement to use for signing up.
