Cynthia Spencer
I’m a potter living in Corvallis, Oregon with two dogs and supportive husband. Spencer Work in Clay is the all-purpose name for my business because what I like to do most in life is play in clay. Sometimes this means pots for use, sometimes sculpture for the garden, sometimes work that just needs to be made to continue my dialog with the myself.
All pottery is hand-built from slabs or pinch-coiled into shape, then fired for durability and use.
Since 1987 I have shown and sold work at trade shows, art fairs, wholesale markets, galleries, web sale platform Artful Home (nee The Guild) and Etsy, as well as the occasional studio sale. Many pieces have been donated for causes near and dear to my heart. If I don’t have to ship it I may donate to yours.
Currently I am happy to not re-enter the production pottery and marketing world, but will show/sell some things if the spirit moves me — and as long as it doesn’t get in the way of the painting, doodling and printing experimenting I’m also doing.
Spencer Work in Clay 
Hello – I saw your work at Showcase and am very interested in purchasing pieces for my shop. My shop is Trillium – a fine crafts gallery with a nature theme located in Wheeler Oregon (20 minutes south of Cannon Beach). Your leaf shaped bowls and plates are wonderful – love the frond curl on the large bowls.

Hello, I saw an outdoor multicolored ceramic sculpture you created for one of your Portland customers in a Sunset “Small Yards, Big Ideas” magazine and was wondering if you had other yard art one could purchase and if it was possible to purchase over the internet.
